NDIS supports
Local Area Coordinators (LACs)
If you are aged 7 and above, Local Area Coordinators (LACs) can link you to the NDIS and to mainstream and community supports in your area. Australian Government – Transition to Work program

Communication Rights Australia
If your child is unable to speak or make themselves heard, you may be able to access support or resources through Communication Rights Australia. You can download resources to help students and teachers and share the toolkit with your school or care centre. Look at the Teachers’ Toolkit for students with little or no speech
OnLine Training
The Department of Education offers a range of free OnLine Training courses for all school based staff across NT Government, Catholic and Independent Schools. The courses are suitable for those who work in schools and specialist settings, such as teachers, learning and support teachers, teaching assistants and school leaders. Professional learning
Professional learning is available for teachers, such as implementing classroom adjustments and upholding obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act and the Disability Standards for Education.
