Sane Australia
SANE’s free guided service provides ongoing mental health support designed specifically for people 18+ with complex mental health, their families and carers, the autistic community and those with intellectual disability seeking mental health support. They deliver online and/or over the phone counselling and peer support as well as recovery activities, such as online community forums, social groups, and art sessions.
Peer support for People with Physical Disability
There are individual and peer support groups available to you if you have a physical disability. They support people in topics of interest, achieving personal goals and social outings.
Carer Payment
This payment provides income support if you can’t work because you care for someone. You might be able to get this payment if you provide constant care in a private home for someone with a severe disability or severe medical condition or who is frail and elderly, and if you aren’t away from them for more than 25 hours a week to work.
