NDIS – education support for schools
If eligible, your child may be able to access disability support through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Support available for your child may include specialist transport support, therapy services and suitable equipment.
Veteran Card
The Department of Veterans’ Affairs provides Veteran Cards to eligible veterans and their families. Depending on the type of card, these entitle you to free or cheaper healthcare, and discounts on medicine, transport, and water and energy bills.

The Students with Disabilities Transport Program (SDTP) can help with travel and transport for eligible students who go to specialist and integrated schools. It can also assist you with the additional costs to your family.

If your child is an eligible rural student or student with special needs they may be able to access free transport assistance to travel to and from school on contracted school buses.

Access2Arts provides people with disability to access the arts in South Australia. You can view events with Auslan captions or interpreters and there are funding opportunities for artists with disability.

If you are a veteran, the DVA may be able to help you access support so that you can continue to live in your own home.
