Driving with a disability
If you have a disability, you may need to have a medical assessment in order to take the driving test. Many drivers successfully pass their driving test and require specific modifications or aids added to their licence.

If you have a physical disability, you can take the standard driving test or, if required, the disability driving test. You may need to use special aids or vehicle modification in order to safely drive.
Seating Equipment and Technical Service (SEAT)
If you are a NT resident with functional impairment with intermediate to complex seating, wheeled mobility, pressure care and assistive technology needs you may be eligible for SEAT. SEAT is a NT Government service that provides customised pressure care, mobility, and seating equipment. SEAT also provides necessary modifications to prescribed wheelchairs as well as fabrication of customised seating systems and pressure cushions.
Territory Equipment Program (TEP)
If you are a NT resident with a functional impairment, you may be able to access equipment, aids and appliances from the NT Government to help you live and participate in everyday activities.
Access2Arts – South Australia
Access2Arts provides people with disability to access the arts in South Australia. You can view events with Auslan captions or interpreters and there are funding opportunities for artists with disability.
