My Aged Care
My Aged Care can give people aged over 65 (or 50 and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) help at home through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme or Home Care Packages. Depending on income, you may be asked to pay some of the cost. An Aged Care Assessment Team decides what help you may be able to get.
My Aged Care
The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) gives basic support for people aged over 65, including help with cooking and advice from a dietitian. For people with more complex needs, Home Care Packages provide more than what the CHSP can offer.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
The NDIS can fund help for people with disability, including getting meals delivered and preparing and cooking meals together.
The Disability Trust
The Disability Trust has services for meal planning and preparation.
Australian Regional and Remote Community Services
Australian Regional and Remote Community Services can help prepare meals with you in your own home, assist you with shopping and provide meals in your home (through Meals on Wheels in some locations) or at one of our centres.
The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)
If you are a senior Australian, you may be able to access entry-level support services to live independently and safely at home.
Australian Red Cross
Australian Red Cross offers Meals on Wheels services. Volunteers bring healthy frozen or fresh meals to your door. They also ‘check-in’ to see how you’re doing.
