The Tasmanian Department of Health service finder can help you to find a range of respite services. To view respite service options, select ‘Disability support’, choose your area and search for ‘respite’ using the search bar.
Carer Payment
This payment provides income support if you can’t work because you care for someone. You might be able to get this payment if you provide constant care in a private home for someone with a severe disability or severe medical condition or who is frail and elderly, and if you aren’t away from them for more than 25 hours a week to work.
