You don’t need to apply for a Health Care Card – if you are eligible, you will be sent a card.
Carer Adjustment Payment
This is a one-off payment to families who can’t get other income support when the family is going through significant adjustment because of the care needs of a child. Carer Allowance
This allowance provides an income supplement for carers or parents who provide daily care for an adult or dependent child or children. You may be able to get this payment if you care for someone with disability or a medical condition, or a frail older person, and if you also work or study.
