Have your say on the National Disability Advocacy Framework 2022-25
Disability advocacy helps to protect the rights of people with disability. It gives them a voice, promotes their interests and protects their wellbeing.
The Department of Social Services is seeking your views on a new draft National Disability Advocacy Framework 2022-25.
The Framework aims to ensure all people with disability can:
• access advocacy services
• get support in a changing environment.
It will also help make advocacy services and standards nationally consistent.
We want people to share their views on what to improve and include in the new Framework. We want to hear from:
• people with disability
• families of people with disability
• carers
• advocacy providers.
Visit DSS Engage to have your say on the future of the Framework. You can use the submission guide to write a submission. It is available in Easy Read, Auslan and 12 languages other than English.
You can also share your views on the Framework by taking part in an online or face-to-face community forum. Register for one of these events at DSS Engage.
Public consultation is open now and closes at 5:00pm AEST, Friday 8 July 2022.
