ABC seeks storytellers for International Day of People with Disability

The Australian Government is partnering with the ABC to support emerging content makers with disability for International Day of People with Disability.

The ABC is looking for original, non-fiction stories by people with disability to share across its platforms on 3 December.

You can pitch your idea and work with the ABC to bring it to life. It could be an article, video, radio segment or something else.

If the ABC chooses your idea, you’ll be paid and gain valuable industry experience.

Submit your pitch by midnight, Wednesday 8 July 2026 for the chance to share your story with audiences across Australia.
