EnableNSW offers a range of equipment and services to assist with mobility, communication and self-care.
 

If eligible, you may be able to access equipment and home modification to help you live independently at home and participate in the community.
 

Guide Dogs QLD deliver guide dog services that you may be able to access if you are blind or have low vision.

Guide Dogs VIC deliver guide dog services that you may be able to access if you are blind or have low vision.

Guide Dogs WA deliver guide dog services that you may be able to access if you are blind or have low vision.

If you or someone you care for is a veteran you may be able to access supplies aids and appliances – such as continence products, mobility aids and diabetes supplies – to help manage your health and wellbeing. You must be referred by a GP to access the program.

In South Australia assistance dogs can only be accredited under the Dog and Cat Management Act 1995, by either the Dog and Cat Management Board or the following prescribed accreditation bodies:

• Vision Australia
• Australian Veterinary Behaviour Services
• Integra Service Dogs Australia

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) can often help you to take break if you care for someone with disability who takes part in the NDIS. Call 1800 800 110 for more information.

You can use the NDIS to access personal care support with daily personal activities including personal hygiene, eating and drinking, mobility and attending appointments.
