Supporting inclusion in early childhood education and care

Early childhood educators can access resources to support inclusion of all children in mainstream early childhood education and care settings.

These resources were developed by the Australian Government in collaboration with representatives from the early childhood education and care sector, as part of the Early Childhood Targeted Action Plan.

Bendigo and District Aboriginal Co-operative (BDAC)

BDAC supports the health and wellbeing of Dja Dja Wurrung community (Jaara people) and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents living in the Dja Dja Wurrung boundaries with a range of holistic services, including medical care, disability services, social and emotional wellbeing , youth services and education needs.

Ballarat and District Aboriginal Co-operative (BADAC)

BADAC supports the health and wellbeing of the local Ballarat and District Aboriginal community with a range of holistic services, including medical care, community care, disability services, social and emotional wellbeing , youth services and early learning and development.

Gunditjmara Aboriginal Cooperative Limited

Gunditjmara provides primary health care services, independent living support and culturally sensitive services to assist with social and community participation for Aboriginal people in the community.

Goolum Goolum Aboriginal Co-operative

Goolum Goolum provides a broad range of services and programs for the local Aboriginal people, including health and wellbeing, children and families, youth and local justice, Elders support, Children and schooling programs and youth mental health.

Inclusion Support Program

The program provides support for eligible mainstream ECEC services to build their capacity and capability to include children with additional needs, alongside their typically developing peers. The ISP is part of the Child Care Safety Net and Child Care Package, your local Early Childhood Education Centre can also give you more information about accessing this support.

The ACT Education Directorate has a range of early childhood programs and supports for students with disability that your child may be eligible for.
