Autism Early Diagnosis Resources

Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) has easy-to-understand resources to help families and carers spot early signs of autism in children. These tools can help you learn what to look for and where to get support early. Getting help early can make a big difference.

Support for families raising children

Kiind supports families raising children living with disability, developmental delay, autism, genetic, rare, undiagnosed and/or chronic conditions. Kiind provides information and a range of resources including obtaining a diagnosis, financial, caring, health and education supports and options.

Support for parents of children showing signs of autism

The Inklings program will help parents and carers understand the needs of infants between the ages of six to 18 months who are showing early signs of autism and builds the capacity of families to better support the child.

Autism CRC

Autism CRC is the independent national source of evidence for best practice in relation to autism across the lifespan and the spectrum. Information and resources include the Autism Knowledge Centre, a portal to autism resources, tools and publications, the National Guideline for the Assessment and Diagnosis of Autism, and the National Guideline for supporting the learning, participation and wellbeing of autistic children and their families.

AEIOU Foundation

AEIOU provides therapeutic, early intervention services for children with autism aged two to six.

The Autistics’ Guide to Adulthood

The Autistics’ Guide to Adulthood is a self-paced online life-skills resource to guide people on the autism spectrum in navigating adulthood.

Teens Work knowhow Program

This program run by Aspergers Victoria offers supported work experience for autistic teens.

Aspect (Autism Spectrum Australia)

ASPECT offers a specialised, evidence-informed schools program that includes information and advice, diagnostic assessments, behaviour support, parent and family support, and adult programs.

Positive Partnerships

Working together with parents, carers and educators of school-aged children on the autism spectrum to provide current, relevant and evidence informed information through workshops and online resources.
