NPY Women’s Council is an Anangu led organisation that delivers health, social and cultural services in the Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (NPY) region of Central Australia.

No Interest Loans Scheme (NILS)

NILS offers people on low incomes, safe and affordable access to credit. Borrow up to $2000 for essentials such as appliances or furniture, car repairs or rego, a new phone or laptop, or medical, dental or vet expenses, and up to $3000 for housing-related expenses such as bond or rent-in-advance, or for recovery from a natural disaster.

Freedom Wheels

Freedom Wheels is a service where skilled staff and volunteers build bikes for anyone living with a disability, who can’t ride standard bikes.

ACT Equipment Loan Service

Canberra Health Services loan equipment to eligible people if they are being discharged from hospital, for trial and general rehabilitation purposes.

Technology for Ageing and Disability WA (TADWA)

TADWA can assist by improving the independence, dignity and quality of life for people with disabilities.

Technology Funding Options

A range of funding options are available to people who are blind or have low vision to access equipment and technology.

DHS Equipment Program

This program funds South Australians who are otherwise ineligible for mobility and support equipment and home modifications, through Commonwealth options.

Queensland Heat Moisture Exchange (HME) Subsidy Scheme

The HME Scheme provides eligible Queensland residents who have undergone laryngectomy surgery with subsidised access to HME consumable devices.

Stoma Appliance Scheme

The Stoma Appliance Scheme provides free stoma appliances and products to people who have a stoma.

Assistive Technology

Assistive technologies (AT) are physical supports that help participants do something more easily, or do something they otherwise cannot do because of their disability.
