The South Australian Government provides information about equipment and assistive technology for people with disability. You can find out how to access equipment, home modifications and other supports that help with mobility, communication, safety and everyday living.

Help with home maintenance and repairs

Home Assist Secure (HAS) helps eligible older people and people with disability stay safe and independent at home. The Queensland Government program provides advice, referrals and financial help for minor home repairs, maintenance, security improvements and home modifications.

Medical aids and equipment

Queensland Health provides information about financial help for medical aids and equipment through the Medical Aids Subsidy Scheme (MASS). Eligible Queenslanders may be able to get support for equipment such as wheelchairs, mobility aids, communication devices and other aids to help them live safely and independently at home.

Equipment loan and supply

Canberra Health Services provides equipment loans and supplies for eligible people in the ACT community. The service can provide equipment such as wheelchairs, mobility aids, hospital beds, hoists and oxygen equipment to help people stay safe and independent at home.

Community Care Occupational Therapy

Canberra Health Services provides occupational therapy support to help adults live safely and independently at home in the ACT. The service can assess your needs and recommend equipment, wheelchairs, home modifications and other supports to make daily tasks easier and safer.
