If you have cerebral palsy, spina bifida, multiple sclerosis or other serious injuries you may be able to access a specially trained dog through the Assistance Dogs Australia 'People with physical disabilities' program.

AWARE Dogs Australia is a not-for-profit registered charity that you may be able to access an assistance dog if you are distressed, ill or disabled.

In South Australia assistance dogs can only be accredited under the Dog and Cat Management Act 1995, by either the Dog and Cat Management Board or the following prescribed accreditation bodies:
