The Tasmanian State Government, Tasmanian councils and the Australian Government all work to support Tasmanians with disability. This section tells you who does what.
Key Tasmanian disability information
The Department of Premier and Cabinet is responsible for disability policies and issues in the Tasmanian Government. They are also responsible for state-based disability services that sit outside of the NDIS. The Premier’s Disability Advisory Council provides advice to the Tasmanian Government and helps people with disability to have a say in disability matters. Tasmanian councils also work to support, promote and improve local communities.
