The South Australian government offer information, resources and services to help support living with a dual disability.

Interstate Patient Travel Assistance Scheme (IPTAS)

If you meet the eligibility criteria, ACT IPTAS can provide you with financial assistance towards travel and accommodation costs to permanent residents of the ACT who are required to travel interstate for specialist medical treatment that is not currently available in the Territory. You may be eligible for subsidised travel Australian Capital Territory.

Kids Helpline

If you are 5 to 25 years old and you need help for any reason call 1800 55 1800.

Aids and Equipment Program

If eligible, you may be able to access subsidised aids and equipment, home and vehicle modifications to help you live safely and independently in your own home.

EnableNSW

EnableNSW offers a range of equipment and services to assist with mobility, communication and self-care.
 

EnableNSW Prosthetic Limb Service

The EnableNSW Prosthetic Limb Service is responsible for funding the provision of artificial limbs to eligible people residing in NSW.
 

Equipment Program

If eligible, you may be able to access equipment and home modification to help you live independently at home and participate in the community.
 

Essential Medical Equipment Payment

This payment can help you with energy costs to run medical equipment or medically required heating or cooling in your home. For example, a dialysis machine or an oxygen concentrator. It is paid once a year.

Accesshub – National Relay Service (NRS)

The NRS can help you communicate over the phone if you are deaf, hard of hearing or have difficulties with speech.

Aids and Equipment Program

If you are a NSW resident and have a life-long or long-term disability you may be able to access equipment, aids and appliances from the NSW Government to help you live and participate in everyday activities.
