This is so all your health information is in one place, which makes it easier for hospitals and healthcare services if you have to see different doctors or specialists.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

You can use the NDIS to access personal care support with daily personal activities including personal hygiene, eating and drinking, mobility and attending appointments.

NPS MedicineWise app

The National Prescribing Service (NPS) have developed a free app that has medication reminders and links to more information about the medicines you’re taking.

Parkinson’s Australia

Parkinson’s Australia has put together a one-stop-shop where you can access information resources and training for people aged under 65 living with Parkinson's and care providers. The information includes understanding your symptoms, management, care/support and treatments.

Patient Assistance Transport Scheme (PATS)

If you live in a rural or remote area, you may be able to access subsidies through PATS to go towards the cost of travel and accommodation when you have to travel to see you nearest medical specialist.

Patient Assistance Travel Scheme

The Patient Assistance Travel Scheme (PATS) is a NT government subsidy program that may be able to provide you with financial help for travel and accommodation expenses if you need to travel a long distance to see an approved medical specialist.

Patient Assisted Travel Scheme

If you live in a rural area and need to travel more than 100 kilometres one way (or 70 kilometres each way) for a specialist medical appointment you may be able to get support for travel and accommodation costs incurred through PATS.

Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme

If eligible, you may be able to access financial assistance to travel to specialist medical services not available locally.

PDCNSW run a range of capacity building workshops and peer groups and mentoring for people with physical disability and their carers.
