Queensland Community Support Scheme

The Queensland Community Support Scheme (QCSS) can help you maintain your independence. It provides assistance with meal preparation.

Samaritans

If you have a NDIS plan and live in Newcastle, Maitland, Central Coast and the Hunter Valley, Samaritans help you with independent skills development including support with cleaning.

Siblings Australia 

Siblings Australia has information and resources to support siblings of children and adults with chronic conditions including disability, chronic illness and mental health issues.

Victorian Government Home and Community Care (HACC) program

The HACC program in Victoria offers meal delivery and centre-based meals for younger people with disability whose capacity for independent living is at risk, and their carers.

My Aged Care

The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) gives basic support for people aged over 65, including help with cooking and advice from a dietitian. For people with more complex needs, Home Care Packages provide more than what the CHSP can offer.

My Aged Care

My Aged Care can give people aged over 65 (or 50 and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) help at home through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme or Home Care Packages. Depending on income, you may be asked to pay some of the cost. An Aged Care Assessment Team decides what help you may be able to get.

Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels can deliver prepared meals to your home. The meals are subsidised by the Australian Government so are cheap for eligible people.

Act and Speak Up for Yourself

The Act and Speak up for Yourself program provides resources for you to increase your awareness of your rights and advocate for yourself.
