A transition plan for Activ support workers with disability
Minister for Social Services Amanda Rishworth today announced the Australian Government will provide grant funding of up to $7.8 million to Western Australia disability employment provider, Activ Foundation, to keep its large-scale industrial work sites open for another 18 months to better support the transition of employees into new placements.

The 1990 State of Origin Victorian Football League match was famous for two things: NSW beat Victoria by 10 points and it was the first time the four Daniher brothers, Terry, Anthony, Neale and Chris, played together in the one team.
The legendary football family from West Wyalong in NSW's Riverina region played a combined 752 VFL/AFL games, with all four brothers eventually playing for the Bombers at Windy Hill in my electorate of Maribyrnong.

The Department of Social Services is seeking your views on a new draft National Disability Advocacy Framework 2022-25.
The Framework aims to ensure all people with disability can:
• access advocacy services
• get support in a changing environment.
It will also help make advocacy services and standards nationally consistent.

Disability Support Pension recipients may receive a text message offering assistance to book a COVID-19 vaccination appointment through the Australian Government’s Disability Gateway.
This is a genuine text message sent by the Australian Government. Legitimate government SMS communications will not use URLs as a means to update your personal details, or ask you to confirm your personal details.
The text message will provide information on preparing for winter and how to access the Disability Gateway for assistance.
Morrison Government seeking future NDIS Partners in the Community
The Morrison Government is seeking suitable community based organisations to help deliver the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Partners in the Community (PITC) Program. Services will be delivered in 74 service areas across Australia for a five year period from July 2023. This will further improve participant access to support in their local communities.
