The Department of Social Services, National Disability Insurance Agency, Department of Education and National Indigenous Australians Agency have partnered, in consultation with representatives from the early childhood education and care (ECEC) sector, to develop resources to support inclusion of children in mainstream ECEC settings.

Early childhood educators can access resources to support inclusion of all children in mainstream early childhood education and care settings.

These resources were developed by the Australian Government in collaboration with representatives from the early childhood education and care sector, as part of the Early Childhood Targeted Action Plan.

Autism CRC

Autism CRC is the independent national source of evidence for best practice in relation to autism across the lifespan and the spectrum. Information and resources include the Autism Knowledge Centre, a portal to autism resources, tools and publications, the National Guideline for the Assessment and Diagnosis of Autism, and the National Guideline for supporting the learning, participation and wellbeing of autistic children and their families.

COVID-19 Leave Grant Open for Disability Workers

NDIS providers can now apply for reimbursement of payment made to eligible disability workers unable to attend work due to a COVID-19 infection.

The Disability Worker COVID-19 Leave Grant will help disability workers take the time they need off work due to having a COVID-19 infection. Supporting workers to stay at home when they are sick reduces the risk to NDIS participants who receive close personal supports.
