Deaf Connect Ed provide information for people who are Deaf or hard of hearing, studying or just thinking about studying. They work with the Victorian Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector, with the aim of improving educational and employment pathways for people who are Deaf or hard of hearing.

This support is delivered in partnership with the student, parents, carers and other professionals to help make reasonable adjustments for students with disability at the time of your child’s enrolment and during their education.

The Victorian Government website provides information and services for families of children living with disability and additional needs. They may also be able to provide you with extra support for children with additional needs in early childhood.

You can borrow from a vast array of well-made toys that have been designed to support your child’s skill development and imagination. Toy libraries aim to support families and encourage togetherness with quality time spent playing with children.

If your child is an eligible rural student or student with special needs they may be able to access free transport assistance to travel to and from school on contracted school buses.

The Students with Disabilities Transport Program (SDTP) can help with travel and transport for eligible students who go to specialist and integrated schools. It can also assist you with the additional costs to your family.
