Australian Disability Network is Australia’s peak body helping employers to build disability confidence and capability to welcome and include people with disability as employees and customers.

National Carer Strategy

On 10 December 2024, the Minister for Social Services, the Hon Amanda Rishworth MP, released the National Carer Strategy 2024-2034. The Strategy was co-designed with carers and provides a vision and the foundation for Australia’s unpaid carers to be supported in all aspects of their lives.

In Australia, there are 3 million unpaid carers who provide vital support to family members, friends and loved ones every day. This Strategy provides an opportunity to review how carers are currently supported, what is working and what is needed to better support carers, now and into the future.

NDIS Evidence Advisory Committee - Applications open

Applications are now open to be part of the new NDIS Evidence Advisory Committee (EAC). We encourage people with diverse backgrounds to apply.

The EAC was a recommendation of the Independent Review into the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS Review).

The EAC will give independent expert advice to the Australian Government on the suitability of supports for NDIS funding.
