The Strategy and supporting documents
Australia’s Disability Strategy 2021-2031 sets out a plan to change the lives of people with disability over ten years. In addition to the full Strategy, and a summary version of the Strategy, there are a number of other documents that support the Strategy.

Outcomes Framework
The Outcomes Framework is a key part of the Strategy as it tracks, reports and measures the outcomes for people with disability across all seven Outcome Areas of the Strategy. This will drive change and improvement for people with disability. It will also help us to see if the lives of people with disability are improving over time.
Data reporting on the Outcomes Framework is published on accessible and interactive webpages hosted by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW). This includes annual Outcome Framework reports and online reporting updated quarterly (referred to as a Dashboard in the Strategy).

The Data Improvement Plan sets out how Australian governments will ensure data needed to measure outcomes for people with disability is collected, shared and improved over the life of the Strategy.

Targeted Action Plans
We know there are areas, like increasing employment of people with disability, where more work is needed. Targeted Action Plans will make sure extra work is done over one to three years to improve outcomes in these areas. There are currently five Targeted Action Plans but more will be done in the future.
